Hacker News is a social news website focusing on computer science and entrepreneurship. It is run by Paul Graham's investment fund and startup incubator, Y Combinator. In general, content that can be submitted is defined as "anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity.

Ada’s List is the place for professional women and non-binary people who work in the tech sector to connect, conspire, and take a stand.

Our group is a safe, confidential space for women who work in technology to chat and support each other. Please consider joining us whether you are new to the tech industry or you are a long-time practitioner. Not a programmer? That’s fine! Our group does not exclude people who work in technical writing, software testing and QA, graphic design, user experience, project management, customer support, or other areas that are sometimes invisible in the discourse on women in tech.

Lesbians Who tech is committed to convening queer women in technology (and our allies) in a vibrant and inclusive community. We work together to promote the visibility and inclusion of women, LGBTQ people, and people from other backgrounds under-represented in technology. If you work to move this mission forward, we want you on our team. Nobody ‘has to be’ a lesbian to be in this community. We use the term to honour those who crossed a firewall with it.
