About the Pyladies community
Pyladies is a Slack Group for Technologists and Female Technologists with roughly 8K members.
In their own words
We are a group of women developers worldwide who love the Python programming language. We write code by day or night. Some of us hack on Python projects on the side, while others work full-time on Python development. But it doesn't matter. We all just like writing Python code, and that's what brings us together.
Django GirlsDjango Girls is a non-profit organization and a community that empowers and helps women to organize free, one-day programming workshops by providing tools, resources and support. We are a volunteer run organization with hundreds of people contributing to bring more amazing women into the world of technology. We are making technology more approachable by creating resources designed with empathy.
Women in Technology
on slackOur group is a safe, confidential space for women who work in technology to chat and support each other. Please consider joining us whether you are new to the tech industry or you are a long-time practitioner. Not a programmer? That’s fine! Our group does not exclude people who work in technical writing, software testing and QA, graphic design, user experience, project management, customer support, or other areas that are sometimes invisible in the discourse on women in tech.
Kansas City Women in Technology
on slackWelcome to the tech connection for women in Kansas City.
on slackWe have lofty goals - our vision is to inspire 100,000 women to enter tech by 2025. We do this by organising events and programs to upskill women across Australia to enter tech careers, and partner with government and industry to provide opportunities for learning and development. Our events and meetups are free.
Coding Black FemalesCoding Black Females was created in 2017. We are a nonprofit organisation, and our primary aim is to provide opportunities for Black female developers to develop themselves, meet familiar faces, network, receive support and build relationships through having regular meetups. We want to meet you if you've been in the industry for 5 minutes, or 10 years, if you work as a freelancer or for a huge corporation. We can learn from and inspire each other, and empower the next generation to achieve success.
