New Communities

Techqueria is a nonprofit that serves the largest global community of Latinx professionals in tech. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) on March 1st 2019, our mission is to empower Latinx professionals with the resources and support that they need to thrive and become leaders in the tech industry. We have 16,000+ members and allies in our network and our online Slack community has 10,000+ members with nearly a quarter engaging on a weekly basis. The majority of our members work in PDE (product, design and engineering), have 3 to 5 years of experience, identify as millennials and joined Techqueria through word of mouth. We work with both tech companies and employee resource groups (ERGs) to build Latinx-centered spaces that revolve around career advice, recruiting, mentorship and networking in order to comprehensively affect change in the tech industry.

Native Talent in Tech is a collection of Indigenous technologists across various skills and experiences. The project’s goal is to highlight their work and elevate their voices by parsing Twitter bios for popular keywords. With more representation, we hope that it can also help companies discover the next generation of Natives talent.

Inspired by Latinxs Who Design (latinxswhodesign.com) and Blacks Who Design (blackswho.design), Filipinos Who Design is an online community built to bring the design and creative Filipinos from all over the world together. Industry professionals can use the FWD platform to network, connect with fellow kababayans, make friends or look for inspiration from fellow creatives! Not Filipino?
