    1. Cowboys RB Javonte Williams is expected to occupy an every-down role once again this season. The Cowboys recently released Phil Mafah and Jaydon Blue, leaving them with Williams, Malik Davis, and Emari Demercado. Last year, Williams had 1,201 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs.
    2. Woody Marks is expected to split backfield work pretty evenly with David Montgomery this season, Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. Alexander expects a sort-of hot-hand approach out of the Houston backfield on a weekly basis.
