Django Girls is a non-profit organization and a community that empowers and helps women to organize free, one-day programming workshops by providing tools, resources and support. We are a volunteer run organization with hundreds of people contributing to bring more amazing women into the world of technology. We are making technology more approachable by creating resources designed with empathy.

DevOps, SRE, & Infrastructure, DSI, is an online community that includes anyone with a shared technical interest. The people who make up this community share a wide range of technical-related knowledge and experience in networking, databases, IT, software, security, programming, DevOps, site reliability engineering, infrastructure, systems administration, and much more. We have people here who are freelancers, entrepreneurs, and those who are employed at small companies to large companies such as Google, Facebook, Hashicorp, and Uber. We like to think that the people who work in these roles "keep the lights on". With a community, we are able to share the knowledge with others who have a desire to learn about their specific technical interests or even wanting that next fix to the project they are working on. If you have a passion for technology, this is the place to be. At DSI, our goal is to be the place with a wide range of technical-related topics and to share them with the world. Rather than just learning something and keeping it to yourself, DSI is the place to not only share it but to learn it. We strive to make people successful and to live their dream. We do that by providing information.

The freenode project exists to help peer-directed project communities flourish. Peer-directed projects combine open, informal participation with broad licensing and wide dissemination of output. freenode provides facilities to peer-directed project communities, including those of free and open source software (FOSS). The IRC component of freenode is a self-referential medium, existing mainly to service IRC users — but the network was created to serve groups that exist outside of IRC. freenode is designed to encourage community members to improve their skills in the areas of cooperative effort, interpersonal communication and project coordination, and to create a real-time bridge to the outside world for our target communities.
